His educational background is aquaculture and fish nutrition. At present, his research interests include fish nutrition, digestive physiology, gut health, and microbiome. In this project, he will participate in testing and validating the Fish-AI model.

 

Trond M. Kortner, PhD

His educational background is biotechnology and molecular biology. His current research interests are focused on nutrition, digestive physiology and mucosal immunology in cultivated fish species. A main focus the recent years has been to study the impact of novel feed ingredients, plant antinutrients and feed additives on fish gastrointestinal physiology, morphology and immunology, and ultimately, on susceptibility to environmental stressors and infectious disease.

Åshild Krogdahl, PhD
Professor in Animal nutrition at Norwegian University of Life Sciences, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine (FVM)

Her educational background is human and comparative nutrition. At present her research mainly regards basic mechanisms underlying effects of new feed ingredients on gut function and health in fish. 

Her administrative experience is extensive. She is serving as the elected leader (2012-) of the Aquamedicine and Nutrition Group at FVM and leads the Feed panel of the Norwegian Scientific Committee for Food Safety (1995 – ongoing), for which she was leader in the period 2003-2010.
