She obtained her degree in Veterinary Biotechnology at the University of Milan with a thesis focused on the characterization of the intestinal stem cell niche in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). After her graduation, she won a research fellow whose purpose was to investigate the role of the intestinal microbiome in the modulation of immune cell populations, in the meantime, she worked in an animal pathology laboratory (MAPLab, Fondazione Unimi, Milano, Italy) where her activities concerned research and technical support. Now she’s pursuing a PhD in veterinary and animal science.
