The main research interest concerns the development of metabolomics and lipodomics analytical platforms and molecular networking by means of High Performance Liquid Chromatography coupled with High Resolution Mass spectrometry. The main task in Fish-Ai project is evaluation of foremost transformation pathways that occur in the fish feed as a consequence of in-vivoand in-vitro digestion processing. Furthermore, one of her important assignment has been the implementation of new exogenous compounds that would be used as efficient markers of cell membrane permeability.
She obtained her degree in Veterinary Biotechnology at the University of Milan with a thesis focused on the characterization of the intestinal stem cell niche in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss). After her graduation, she won a research fellow whose purpose was to investigate the role of the intestinal microbiome in the modulation of immune cell populations, in the meantime, she worked in an animal pathology laboratory (MAPLab, Fondazione Unimi, Milano, Italy) where her activities concerned research and technical support. Now she’s pursuing a PhD in veterinary and animal science.

He has been working on different aspects of developmental biology in different domestic species. He developed different in vitro culture system for embryos, for embryonic stem cells and for cell reprogramming.
In this project Fulvio will coordinate all the teams and his unit will work on the isolation of intestinal cell lines and on their combination with 3D scaffolds.
She has been working on the molecular and cell biology of parthenogenetic embryos and stem cells. She also developed a new protocol for cell conversion and is developing 3D culture systems.
Since 2017 She is the Coordinator of COST Action CA16119 CellFit devoted to refining the present understanding of natural tissue environment with specific regard to 3 dimensional (3D) organization and gradient of chemical and mechanical signals.
Tiziana will lead the unit in the isolation of intestinal cell lines and their adaptation to 3D culture systems.
He has worked on the mechanisms regulating bovine oocyte competence and embryo in vitro development using molecular biology and bioinformatics. He has just finished his post-Doctoral fellowship at the Colorado State University (Fort Collins, CO) where he worked on 2 main projects: 1) loss of oocyte quality with maternal age in mouse and humans and 2) fatty acid metabolism of bovine blastocysts.
Rolando will apply his expertise in tissue culture and molecular biology to the derivation and characterization of rainbow trout intestinal cell lines.
After completing her degree in Veterinary biotechnology, she is now pursuing her PhD. She worked on the characterization of the intestinal stem cell niche in pig between birth and weaning. She has experience in histology and immunohistochemistry. She worked at the Maximillian Universität in Munich where she learned stereological methods and their application to the gastrointestinal apparatus. She also worked at the University of Ghent where she learned the basic principles of photo-crosslinkable gelatin and 3D printing.
Nicole will characterise the intestinal epithelial cells both in vivo and in vitro.
The activity and current research fields are oriented towards the development of analytical methods based on High Resolution Mass Spectrometric approach (HRMS-omic) for the determination of molecules of interest for food of animal origin in order to make research lines in the field of food safety in compliance with current European regulations. Great interest has been given toward aquaculture to understand the effect of different lipid sourced used in fish feed on quality and safety of edible tissues.
